We all love having innovative products at our fingertips. Problem? This leads to unintended destruction of said products, as we can hardly make it through a normal day without them. If you’re not grasping the allusion, let us present to you the following hypothetical situation:
You’re fine-tuning your amateur chef skills in the kitchen when you feel your Apple iPhone vibrate from an incoming call. With your right hand on a boiling pot of water, you struggle with your left to release the phone from your pocket. Give an extra tug, and all of sudden you hear an unwelcome ‘smash’! Your iPhone has been catapulted from hip-level directly onto your hardwood floor. Hesitantly picking up your phone, you notice immediately a fresh crack traveling right down the middle of your screen…
Sound familiar? The more we try to juggle innovative products with our regular daily routines, we find that our most cherished tech accessories are destroyed in some of the strangest places. In fact, gadget warranty site, SquareTrade, has discovered that about 21% of iPhone accidents occur in the kitchen! And, you guessed it: another 18% occur in the living room, with the bathroom listed not far behind, grabbing a stunning 16%!
If you thought you were the only person to drop your iPhone in the toilet, you were mistaken. Check out SquareTrade’s interesting infographic detailing the places you’re most likely to destroy your iPhone:
