Winter IS coming and for some of us it feels like it’s already here (it's snowing as I write this)
We at the kubxlab offices have been inspired to pass on some handy tips we’ve collected to Amp Up Your Life but not your hydro bill. We call this edition of Amp Up Your Weekend: Hot Tips for Staying Warm in Winter.
Tip 1. Buy Insulated Curtains
Insulated Curtains help reduce heating bills because they are designed to trap warm air in while keeping cold air out. Your thermostat won’t have to make up for the sweet sweet warmth that is trying to escape through the windows.
Tip 2. Cuddle Something
I’m serious. Hans Solo didn’t cut open that Tauntaun for nothing. It’s all about the body heat. It doesn’t have to be a boyfriend/girlfriend or even a human, it just has to be warm blooded! (and consensual) Body heat will transfer keeping you both toasty.
Tip 3. Wear Toe Socks
Yes they are ugly but the individual toe fabric keeps you extra warm where it counts.
Tip 4. Layer Up In Wool
Wool is an incredibly versatile fiber. It holds warmth close to your body without overheating it.
Tip 5. Make Your Own Thermal Heated Clothing
Feeling cold AND crafty? Make your own heated underwear using this link.
Tip 6. Bake Stuff
After you finish baking something turn the oven off but leave the door open. Your kitchen will heat up and (hopefully) smell great too!
Tip 7. D.A.N.C.E
Exercise is the easiest and best way to warm up quickly so take your iPhone (with your ampjacket of course!) and have a little dance party.
Hope these tips have helped. Have any winter warmth tips of your own? Sound off below!
